Kolkata Knight Riders has named Rinku Singh as its vice-captain for the upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL) season.
The announcement was made by KKR managing director Venky Mysore during a pre-season event on Tuesday.
The 28-year-old will act as deputy to Ajinkya Rahane and will replace Venkatesh Iyer in the role after Royal Challengers Bengaluru bought him for Rs. 7 crore ahead of the season.

Rinku, who was part of India’s T20 World Cup-winning squad, has played for KKR since the 2018 campaign. He has played 59 matches for the side, scoring 1,099 runs at an average of 30.53.
After finishing in a disappointing eighth place last year, the three-time champion will begin its season against Mumbai Indians at the Wankhede Stadium on Sunday.
