HYDERABAD

Social activist Nikhil Dey has praised several welfare measures being implemented by the Telangana government.

During a meeting with Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy in the Legislative Council on Thursday, a team led by Mr. Dey was informed about extending the ongoing Praja Vani (People’s Voice) programme from the State-level to the revenue-division level.

The CM directed officials to take appropriate steps in this regard.

Mr. Dey also praised the Telangana Gig Workers’ Bill, and expressed confidence that it would stand as a historic decision, if implemented.

The meeting was attended by Planning Board Vice-Chairman G. Chinna Reddy, Chief Secretary K. Ramakrishna Rao, and senior officials Dana Kishore, V. Sheshadri, B. Ajit Reddy, Manik Raj, Divya Devarajan, and Vemula Srinivasulu.
