Tension prevailed in front of the Sakleshpur Rural Police Station in Sakleshpur of Hassan district on Friday, as two groups engaged in a fist fight.

The residents of Marabylu village in Mudigere taluk of Chikkamagaluru district and photographers from Hassan had a heated argument on the police station premises with regard to an assault during the pre-wedding shoot at Bettada Byraveshwara Temple in Maragunda near Sakleshpur.

The arguments led to a clash forcing the police to intervene. They brought the situation under control and dispersed the mob. The video clips of the clash have gone viral on social media platforms.

Earlier in the day, during the pre-wedding shoot at the temple, the photographers and a few people from Maragunda had an argument over a petty issue. The team of photographers was allegedly assaulted by local residents. The photographers reached the police station to file a complaint. They were supported by photographers from Sakleshpur and other places in the district.

Meanwhile, many people from Maragunda also gathered in front of the police station. They picked an argument with the photographers again that led to the clash. The police have booked seven persons based on a complaint filed by the photographers.
