The Delhi Police, with assistance from the Mysuru City Police, arrested a man accused of sending fake bomb threat emails that triggered panic at multiple locations.

The accused has been identified as Srinivas, a resident of Brindavan Extension in the city.

In recent months, several schools, colleges, courts, and government offices received bomb threat emails, causing widespread alarm and prompting police and bomb detection squads to launch emergency responses. All the threats were later found to be hoaxes, bringing relief to the public.

Taking the matter seriously, the Delhi Police initiated an investigation and traced the suspect to Mysuru. A search was conducted at Srinivas’s residence, during which the police reportedly seized his laptop. The accused is expected to be taken to Delhi for further investigation. V.V. Puram Police assisted the Delhi Police during the operation, apparently conducted on Friday night.
