The Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) declared the Matric Annual Examination 2026 results on March 29 at 1:15 PM through an official press conference. The announcement was made by Education Minister Sunil Kumar in the presence of Chairman Anand Kishor and Additional Chief Secretary Dr. B. Rajender.Pushpanjali Kumari of Simultala Awasiya Vidyalaya, Jamui and Parveen from Uch Madhyamik Vidyalaya, Vaishali emerged as joint toppers. Both students scored 492 marks, securing 98.4 percent and claiming the top position in the state.This year, 81.79 percent of students successfully cleared the Bihar Board Class 10 examination. More than 1.5 million candidates had appeared for the exam, reflecting a large-scale participation across the state.The Matriculation examination was conducted from February 17 to February 25. The evaluation process was completed between March 2 and March 13, enabling the Board to declare results within March and maintain its record of early announcements.Before the declaration, the Board conducted interviews and verification of potential toppers. Students were assessed on subject knowledge, writing skills, and handwriting to ensure authenticity and fairness in the merit list.Students can check their results on official websites such as biharboardonline.bihar.gov.in and matricbiharboard.com. They need to enter their Roll Code and Roll Number to access the marksheet and are advised to download it for future use.Following the result declaration, the admission process for Class 11 in government intermediate schools will begin in the first week of April. Applications will be submitted online through the OFSS platform provided by the Bihar Board.
