The Krishna Milk Union has set a new national benchmark by announcing the highest milk procurement price and bonus for dairy farmers in India during its 36th General Body Meeting held on March 28, 2026.

Under the chairmanship of Chalasani Anjaneyulu, the milk union had resolved to increase the procurement price for buffalo milk with 10% fat by ₹30 per kg fat, raising the rate to ₹850, while cow milk total solids were increased by ₹20 to reach ₹310.

Mr. Anjaneyulu said that starting April 1, 2026, when combined with the distributed bonuses, farmers would receive a record-breaking ₹935 per kg fat. “This financial boost is complemented by the announcement of a ₹15 crore bonus for the final quarter of the 2025-26 fiscal year, bringing the total annual bonus payout to ₹45 crore,” he said.

The meeting highlighted a transformative seven-year growth period, wherein the union’s annual turnover surged by 77% to ₹1,265 crore and fixed assets quadrupled from ₹64 crore to ₹320 crore.

Mr. Anjaneyulu credited this success to the farmer-first philosophy and strong governmental support, specifically acknowledging the ₹10 crore Central subsidy and the State’s initiative to build cattle sheds across constituencies.

Looking toward a sustainable future, the milk union was moving to establish a 10-MW solar plant to slash electricity costs and actively promoting organic farming practices within its member villages, he said.

“The progress report, presented in the presence of Managing Director Kolli Eshwar Babu and committee members, underscores the union’s evolution into a robust ₹250-crore surplus organisation dedicated to the holistic welfare of the dairy farming community,” he said.
