What has caught people's attention is that two international leaders are casually discussing Hindi blockbuster movie, Dhurandhar. The clip shared by Alexandar Stubb on his official X account shows him running with Mark Carney together with their spouses and turned heads online after casually referencing Dhurandhar — India’s biggest film of 2025.During the conversation, Mark Carney asked Stubb about his recent surge in Instagram popularity in India. The Finnish president replied that it “was huge” after he mentioned watching Dhurandhar, adding that after seeing the film, he realised it was “not a game at all.”A viral video capturing Hyde Park has sparked buzz online, showing leaders Mark Carney and Alexander Stubb jogging together in a relaxed setting while engaging in a candid conversation about Ranveer Singh's movie 'Dhurandhar'.During their run, Carney casually asks Stubb about his recent social media moment in India, saying, “How was your Insta thing in India?” Stubb reveals the response was “massive” after he mentioned watching the film Dhurandhar. Reflecting on its themes, he adds that the movie made him realise the subject was “not a game at all,” hinting at its serious portrayal of terrorism and intelligence operations. The Finnish President replied by saying, “It was huge after I said that I watched Dhurandhar, and then I realised it’s not a game at all. But yeah."The brief yet intriguing exchange quickly went viral, especially among Indian audiences, who were quick to recognise the film reference and amplify the clip across social media platforms.Earlier this month, Alexander Stubb revealed that he watched the film Dhurandhar before arriving in India following a recommendation from his son. Stubb shared that he appreciated the film’s theme of fighting terrorism and is now looking forward to watching its sequel, Dhurandhar: The Revenge.Speaking to ANI, he said, “Before I came to India, my son suggested I should watch Dhurandhar, and I did. Of course, that was one part of the narrative of that movie. Happy to fight against terrorists and look forward to watching the sequel on March 19.”Even French President Emmanuel Macron wrapped up his action-packed India visit with a 'Dhurandhar' video. In February, he was in India for the AI Summit and the French leader shared the glimpses from his trip in a 43-second montage, with the song 'Na De Dil Pardesi Nu' from the Hindi blockbuster 'Dhurandhar' playing in the background.Dhurandhar, directed by Aditya Dhar and starring Ranveer Singh, emerged as one of the most talked-about Hindi films following its release in late 2025. The film revolves around an undercover Indian intelligence officer caught in a high-stakes counter-terrorism mission, with the narrative delving into complex cross-border networks and the intense realities of covert operations.Ranveer Singh plays Hamza Ali Mazari in Dhurandhar, a young man who infiltrates Rehman Dakait’s (Akshaye Khanna) gang while secretly working as a spy for India. He later marries Yalina (Sara Arjun), the daughter of politician Jameel Jamali (Rakesh Bedi), adding layers to the intense narrative inspired by real-life incidents such as Operation Lyari. The movie's sequel 'Dhurandhar: The Revenge' will hit the theatres on Friday, March 19, 2026. In the second part, Ranveer can be seen in dual avatars — Jaskirat and Hamza — with the story promising a gripping mix of action, emotion and vengeance. The film also features R. Madhavan as strategic mastermind Ajay Sanyal, Arjun Rampal as ISI Major Iqbal, and Sanjay Dutt as SP Chaudhary Aslam. The powerful tagline “Honsla. Eendhan. Badla.” underscores the revenge-driven narrative, setting the stage for an intense sequel slated for release on March 19.
