Exams were held successfully with 98.53% attendance on day one of the annual exam - 1 for SSLC students on Wednesday across the State. As many as 12,175 students were absent for the First language Kannada, Telugu, Hindi, Marathi, Tamil, Urdu, English, and Sanskrit exam.
Karnataka School Examination Assessment Board (KSEAB), in a statement issued on Wednesday, said that there was no malpractice reported from any of the centres across the State and the exams were conducted without any untoward incident.
Madhu Bangarappa, Minister for School Education and Literacy, visited the Karnataka Public School (KPS) examination centre in Malleswaram, Bengaluru and greeted the students by offering roses and wishing them best.
Around 8,28,477 students had enrolled for the first language of which 8,16,302 students were present, 12,175 students remained absent. While Udupi district recorded the highest attendance of 99.62%, Bidar recorded the lowest attendance at 96.39%.
