Several UPI users have reported facing payment-related issues, with many of them taking to X (formerly Twitter) to flag concerns. Downdetector also shows a steep jump in the number of complaints, including over 500 payment issue-related complaints reports for State Bank of India (SBI).Many UCO Bank UPI users have also raised complaints on the same, with Downdetector showing over 50 complaints raised at around 1:00 pm on April 1, 2026.One user, going by the username @SamantaMajumder, said, “#SBIfoolsday On 1st April only SBI is playing fool with people. Since morning I am trying send money through UPI but continuously they are showing that server is down.😠😠😠”Another user, going by the name UDDIPTA KUMAR NATH, tagged SBI while flagging the issue. "@TheOfficialSBI @OfficialSBICare your online system is down since 11 am. This is creating great inconvenience to many customers! Fix it ASAP!! In present day, people mostly do online transactions, UPI only, keeping cash has reduced greatly among people," he wrote on X.Earlier today, SBI informed about its scheduled maintenance activity timing being revised to 11:00 am to 11:45 am.“The scheduled maintenance activity timing has been revised, Our services UPI, IMPS, YONO, Internet Banking, NEFT and RTGS may experience disruptions between 11:00 Hrs and 11:45 Hrs (IST) on 01.04.2026 (45 Minutes),” SBI said in a post on X.It advised customers to use the UPI Lite and ATM Services during this period.In another tweet, SBI stated that the scheduled maintenance activity end timing has been extended to 12:30 pm on 01.04.2026. “Our services, UPI, IMPS, YONO, Internet Banking, NEFT and RTGS, may experience disruptions.”
