Mahindra & Mahindra on Wednesday reported a strong performance in its farm business, with tractor sales driving growth in March, while its automotive segment maintained momentum.The company’s Farm Equipment Business (FEB) posted a 33% year-on-year rise in domestic tractor sales at 43,403 units in March 2026. Total tractor sales, including exports, stood at 45,035 units for the month. Exports, however, declined to 1,632 units.For the full year, the company recorded its highest-ever domestic tractor sales at 5,05,930 units, marking a 24% increase over the previous year. Total tractor sales for FY26 stood at 5,26,403 units, also up 24%.Veejay Nakra, President at the Farm Equipment Business, said the strong March performance was partly driven by the full Navratri season falling in the month this year, unlike last year when it was split across March and April.On the automotive front, total vehicle sales rose 21% year-on-year to 99,969 units in March. Utility vehicle sales in the domestic market grew 25% to 60,272 units, while domestic commercial vehicle sales increased 11% to 24,928 units.The company ended FY26 on a strong note, with SUV sales hitting a record 6,60,276 units, up 20% year-on-year, and light commercial vehicle (LCV <3.5T) sales rising 13% to 2,89,597 units.Three-wheeler sales, including electric models, surged 39% to 10,801 units in March, while exports declined 4% to 3,968 units, though full-year exports rose 18%.
