4 dead, 3 hospitalised after lightning strikes at hill in Kerala’s Malappuram

Four students were killed after being struck by lightning on Panthallur hill near Mankada in Kerala's Malappuram district. Three others were hospitalised with injuries. The group of seven students had trekked up to the top of the hill, a popular viewpoint among tourists, when the lightning strikes occurred. The deceased were rushed to nearby hospitals, where four succumbed to their injuries. The three injured students are reported to be in stable condition.
