India on Tuesday issued a fresh advisory asking its citizens in Iran to remain indoors and exercise extreme caution, as tensions in the region surged sharply following escalating military exchanges and an ultimatum issued by US President Donald Trump. In a notice dated April 7, the Embassy of India in Tehran urged Indian nationals to stay where they are for at least 48 hours, avoid all “electric, military installations and upper floors of multi-storey buildings,” and strictly coordinate any movement with embassy authorities. The advisory also directed those staying in embassy-arranged accommodations to remain indoors and stay in regular contact with officials. Also Read: 'A whole civilization will die tonight,' Trump issues chilling warning on Iran Earlier today, President Trump issued a stark ultimatum to Tehran, saying “a whole civilization will die tonight,” signalling one of the most aggressive escalations in US-Iran tensions in recent years.A whole civilization will die tonight, US President Donald Trump warned in a post on Truth Social on Tuesday, in a stark message addressing Iran and the escalating war in Middle East.In the same post, Trump said, “I don’t want that to happen, but it probably will.” He suggested that a shift toward “complete and total regime change,” with “different, smarter, and less radicalized minds,” could still lead to a dramatically positive outcome, adding, “maybe something revolutionarily wonderful can happen, WHO KNOWS?”He further described the moment as highly significant, writing, “We will find out tonight, one of the most important moments in the long and complex history of the World.” Trump also referred to decades of “extortion, corruption, and death” coming to an end.Iran, however, has rejected the demand, insisting it will not reopen the waterway under pressure or “empty promises,” and has warned of retaliatory strikes targeting US allies and critical infrastructure in the region.Officials have emphasised that emergency helplines remain operational and urged citizens to monitor official updates closely. The advisory follows earlier warnings issued as hostilities intensified in recent days.
