A decade after the State’s bifurcation, a significant portion of the pharmaceutical sector continues to operate outside Andhra Pradesh, causing not only a huge drain on the State’s exchequer but also a loss of business for druggists and a loss of employment for the working class in the State.
Andhra Pradesh Chemists and Druggists Association (APCDA) has renewed its appeal to the State government to direct the pharma companies to establish their depots and Carrying and Forwarding Agencies (CFA) in Andhra Pradesh to avoid delay in access to essential medicines during emergencies.
