Karnataka bypolls at 1 PM: 42% polling in Bagalkot; 37.17% in Davanagere South

Voting was underway for bypolls to two Assembly segments— Bagalkot and Davanagere South in Karnataka on Thursday (April 9, 2026).

At 1 PM, Bagalkot had recorded 43.75% polling while the figure for Davanagere South constituency was 37.17%.

The polls were necessitated by the deaths of senior Congress MLAs H.Y. Meti and Shamanur Shivashankarappa. Counting of votes will be taken up on May 4.
