Kerala Assembly Elections 2026: Delayed postal ballots leave poll officials without vote

Government officials deployed for election duty on Wednesday and Thursday were required to report for duty before receiving their postal ballots. As a result, many officials may have lost their chance to cast their votes. Several polling centres had still not received their postal ballots by 5 p.m. on Wednesday, despite a High Court directive that they be delivered by 2 p.m.
