Air India Mumbai-Bengaluru flight makes ‘PAN PAN’ call after engine stalls mid-air

An Air India flight from Mumbai to Bengaluru declared "PAN PAN" over radio after one of its engines stalled mid-air. The A320 Neo aircraft, originally scheduled to take off at 2.05am, took off at 2.15am and returned to the Mumbai airport at 2.35am. The passengers reported being soaked during take off and sparks were seen while the aircraft was in the air. The engine had stalled, prompting the pilot to declare a "PAN PAN" alert.
