US President Donald Trump on Friday (March 19) defended the ongoing Operation Epic Fury, declaring that he took action against Iran where previous presidents hesitated.

“I had to do something that no other president had the courage to do,” Trump said, framing the offensive as an unprecedented show of leadership. He added that while others had considered similar moves, they ultimately refrained.

Claims of total military dominance Trump asserted that Iran’s military capabilities have been effectively dismantled, saying its navy, air force and leadership are “gone.”

“We’re flying wherever we want, we have nobody even shooting at us. We are substantially ahead of schedule,” he said, projecting confidence in the operation’s pace and effectiveness.

His remarks echo earlier claims that the campaign has crippled Iran’s military infrastructure, including key naval assets and air defence systems.

‘Safer world’ after Iran campaign Trump argued that the outcome of the operation would significantly improve global security.

“When this excursion in Iran is completed, we’ll have a much safer world,” he said, calling Iran a “serious threat” to both the Middle East and global stability.

Large-scale operation, no clear timeline The White House has described Operation Epic Fury as a major military campaign aimed at dismantling Iran’s nuclear and defence capabilities following failed diplomatic efforts.

Despite claims of rapid progress, officials have indicated there is no fixed timeline for concluding the operation, with goals tied to broader strategic outcomes.
