A day after Madhya Pradesh HC ruling, ASI grants Hindus unrestricted entrance in Bhojshala

The Archaeological Survey of India has issued a fresh order granting unrestricted access to the Hindu community for worship and learning activities at the Bhojshala complex in Madhya Pradesh. The order, issued on May 16, 2026, recognises the complex's history as a centre for Sanskrit grammar, language, and literature, and allows unrestricted access to observe ancient practices of learning and worship of Goddess Saraswati. The complex remains a protected monument under the Ancient Monuments and Archaeological Sites and Remains Act of 1958.
