A match made in opposition: Venezuela’s Machado courts Spain’s right wing

Venezuela's opposition leader Maria Corina Machado chose not to meet Spain's Socialist Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez during her visit to Madrid. Instead, she held meetings with leaders from the opposition conservative People's Party and the far-right Vox party. Machado received a warm welcome from the People's Party leader Alberto Nunez Feijoo and other conservative leaders, but significant differences exist between her and Feijoo on social issues.
