Air Canada Pilot Flew 900+ Flights For 16 Years Without Proper License

A former Air Canada pilot has been charged with allegedly serving as an airline captain for over 16 years without the required license. The pilot, who held a valid commercial pilot license, lacked the necessary Airline Transport Pilot License to command large commercial passenger aircraft. An investigation, known as Project Icarus, was launched after anomalies were discovered in the pilot's credentials during a routine operational evaluation at Toronto Pearson International Airport. The pilot faces charges including fraud and public mischief.
