Air Canada Pilot Flew 900 Flights With Fake License: Police

A former Air Canada captain has been arrested and charged with seven criminal offenses for allegedly flying over 900 flights with a fake pilot's license. The pilot, considered responsible for aircraft operation and safety, underwent mandatory recurrent training every six months to validate flying competency. Air Canada stated that safety was not compromised due to the training, but the Transport Canada regulatory investigation led to a criminal investigation.
