Andhra Pradesh government dismisses officer for violating election conduct rules

A section officer and in-charge assistant secretary in the Panchayat Raj and Rural Development Department have been dismissed from service with immediate effect. Disciplinary proceedings established charges of violating the Model Code of Conduct and civil service rules. The orders were issued by the Special Chief Secretary, General Administration Department, following a detailed inquiry. The Panchayat Raj Department has been instructed to take further action in the matter.
