Another ‘godman’ in Nashik faces allegations of sexual exploitation, booked

Nashik police in Maharashtra have registered an FIR against a self-proclaimed godman for alleged sexual exploitation of a woman. The alleged crimes took place in 2024, but the woman mustered courage after being counselled by activists from the anti-superstition Andhashraddha Nirmoolan Samiti. A complaint was filed against Maheshgiri alias Mahesh Dilip Kakde on April 22, 2026.
