Another Nashik ‘godman’ accused of rape, threatened woman with ‘divine power’; case filed

A self-proclaimed godman is under investigation in Nashik over allegations of sexual abuse. The police have registered an FIR in connection with the case after a 28-year-old woman filed a complaint against Maheshgiri alias Mahesh Dilip Kakde. The woman alleged that Kakde exploited her on the pretext of treating her for mental health issues and black magic, and coerced her into having sex with him. No arrest has been made yet.
