Auto driver drowns in Godavari while escaping from a gambling den in Mancherial

An auto-rickshaw driver who escaped a police raid on a gambling den in Mancherial went missing for nine days. His body was found drowned in a river at Gudirevu village. Police suspect he drowned while trying to evade arrest. A case has been registered and investigations are underway. The driver had managed to run away from the den during the raid and had not returned home since then.
