Banned referee Artan arrives home in Somalia

Referee Omar Artan has returned to Somalia after being banned from entering the United States. He was set to be the first Somali to referee at a World Cup finals but was instead detained at Miami International Airport. Artan holds a diplomatic passport and a US visa, but no reason has been given for his repatriation. He was greeted by government officials and representatives of the Somali Football Federation upon his arrival at Aden Adde International Airport in Mogadishu.
