Bengal elections: After V-Day, focus shifts from poll booths to EVM strong rooms

Kolkata's 22 strong rooms are under a robust three-layered security system involving CAPF and Kolkata Police, with 1,500 personnel on duty per shift. Across the state, over 200 CAPF companies and 7,500 Bengal Police personnel are safeguarding 294 strong rooms and 77 counting centres. Strict protocols are in place to prevent unauthorized access and maintain peace on counting day.
