Bengaluru garbage tender: Contractor moves Karnataka High Court for probe alleging 9-15% bribe demand by two IAS officers

A private contractor has filed a petition in the High Court of Karnataka alleging that two senior State officials demanded illegal gratification, ranging from 9% to 15% of the annual bid amount, for awarding a Solid Waste Management tender package in Bengaluru city. The contractor, who was the successful bidder, is represented by the Bangalore Mahanagara Swachahte Matthu Lorry Malikara Hagoo Guthigedarara Sangha, an association of garbage contractors and lorry owners.
