BJP to contest four seats in upcoming Maharashtra Legislative Council polls

The BJP will contest four of the nine seats in the Maharashtra Legislative Council biennial elections. The party's State core committee, chaired by Chief Minister, met to discuss the strategy for the polls and a bypoll for one council seat vacated after a Congress MLC resigned to join the BJP. The elections are scheduled next month.
