Centre plans ₹8,097 crore equity infusion for RINL revival in Visakhapatnam

The central government plans to announce a financial package of ₹8,097 crore for Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited (RINL) to aid its revival. The proposed infusion is in the form of equity and is expected to provide immediate operational relief to the financially-stressed public sector undertaking. The Union finance ministry has approved the package and it is expected to be formally announced after a Union cabinet meeting.
