Chile’s ‘Red Hangar’ Sweeps 41st Guadalajara Film Festival

The 41st Guadalajara Film Festival took place from April 17-25. Chilean film "Red Hangar" swept the Ibero-American strand, winning every category, including Best Performance for Nicolás Zárate. "Querida Fátima" dominated the Premio Mezcal section, winning best film, director and audience awards, highlighting unresolved cases of feminicide in Mexico. Industry tributes were given to Elena Vilardell and Darren Aronofsky, with the latter expressing his affection for Mexico and the importance of storytelling.
