China sentences two former defence ministers to death for corruption

China's military court has sentenced two former defence ministers to death for corruption, with the sentences suspended for two years. Once the suspension period expires, the sentences will be commuted to life imprisonment. Both men have been stripped of their political rights for life and their assets have been confiscated. An appeal is not possible, and they were also expelled from the Chinese Communist Party on corruption charges.
