China vetoes Meta’s $2B Manus deal after months-long probe

The commission ordered both parties to unwind the deal entirely, citing laws and regulations. Manus employees have already moved into Meta's Singapore offices, with founders taking on executive roles, but the company's Chinese founders are reportedly under exit bans, preventing them from leaving mainland China.
