CJI calls for registry of ex-judges to serve in alternative dispute resolution

Chief Justice of India Surya Kant has called for a structured national framework to utilise the experience of retired judges in alternative dispute resolution. He considers their experience a valuable national resource that should not go untapped after retirement. The CJI suggests a formal framework, including a national registry of former judges willing to serve and recognition of their engagement as institutional service with accountability and support.
