Coempt gave CBSE cyber certificates that were expired, tied to other client

Coempt Edu Teck submitted cybersecurity certificates to the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) for its on-screen marking (OSM) platform, which were outdated and tied to a different client's deployment. The certificates, issued by CERT-In empanelled firms, were nearly two years old and covered a different application version. They were part of the submissions for the OSM system's third tender that Coempt successfully won. The certificates' contents raise questions about the platform's actual security, given reported critical vulnerabilities that potentially allowed unauthorized access.
