Congress' VD Satheesan gets chief minister post, ending Kerala suspense

Congress leader VD Satheesan has been selected as the leader of the Congress legislative party in Kerala. The decision was announced in Delhi at a press conference by Congress incharge of Kerala Deepa Dasmunsi. Satheesan, a six-time lawmaker from Paravur, was elected leader after beating stiff competition from other Congress leaders. He has been unanimously elected by the Congress legislature party and is likely to be sworn in as the next chief minister along with 20 ministers.
