Cook arrested in deadly Delhi hotel fire case, claims blaze ‘began after spark in fryer’

A cook has been arrested in connection with a deadly hotel fire in Delhi that killed 21 people. The cook, who had been working at the bed-and-breakfast facility for over a year, claims the blaze began after a spark in a fryer. However, his counsel disputes this, stating the fire was caused by an electrical short circuit elsewhere in the building. The cook was sent to two days in custody after being arrested on Saturday morning.
