Delhi to roll out new traffic challan system, limits direct court appeals

The Delhi government will implement amendments to the Central Motor Vehicles Rules, 1989, to introduce a new traffic challan system. The revised system will be fully digital, time-bound, and accountable, ensuring better compliance with traffic rules and reducing road accidents. Under the new system, violators will not be able to directly approach courts to contest challans, and will have to pay fines or challenge them through an online portal within a specified timeframe.
