Delhi's 'jinxed' CM bungalow is getting a makeover. Why it is considered ‘cursed’

Delhi's CM bungalow at 33 Sham Nath Marg is being demolished and redeveloped into the city's first dedicated Disaster Management headquarters. The colonial-era structure, built in the 1920s, has remained largely unoccupied for over two decades due to its troubled history. Successive chief ministers, including Sheila Dikshit, have chosen not to move in, contributing to its reputation as a "jinxed" address. The site will feature a modern Emergency Operations Centre and is expected to give a new purpose to a prime land parcel.
