Despite heat, senior citizens step out to vote in large numbers

Many super senior citizens and persons with disabilities chose to cast their votes in person despite arrangements for postal ballots. A 103-year-old resident of Vallur village came to the polling booth in a wheelchair, saying it brought him joy to fulfil his democratic duty. He urged others not to stay at home, but to go to their respective polling stations to cast their votes.
