Duststorms and lightning kill at least 96 people in northern India

Heavy storms, duststorms, and lightning have caused widespread damage and loss of life in Uttar Pradesh, India's most populous state. At least 96 people have been killed and over 50 injured in weather-related incidents across several districts. Many deaths were caused by falling trees, collapsing structures, and lightning. Emergency teams have been deployed to clear fallen trees and provide relief to affected areas, with homes, crops, and power infrastructure widely damaged.
