EC orders probe into foreign nationals voting in TN, 10 held

The Election Commission has ordered a probe into allegations that foreign nationals voted in the Tamil Nadu Assembly election using fake Indian identity documents. Ten foreign nationals were arrested at airports in Chennai and Madurai for allegedly casting votes in the election. They were from Sri Lanka, the UK, and Canada, and had used fraudulent Indian ID documents to vote. The police are probing the cases and have registered complaints under the Representation of the People Act.
