Mamata Banerjee, the West Bengal Chief Minister, visited various strong rooms after TMC candidates alleged that the poll body was opening them without the presence of relevant stakeholders. The West Bengal chief electoral officer countered her by citing the rulebook. TMC candidates claimed that the Election Commission made a mistake by opening the strong room without informing them, and they have called off their dharna after agreeing to tighten security outside the strong room.
