ED arrests TMC leader and former Bengal minister Sujit Bose in alleged municipal recruitment scam

The Enforcement Directorate arrested former minister and Trinamool Congress leader Sujit Bose in a money laundering case linked to an alleged municipality recruitment scam. Bose was questioned for several hours before being taken into custody under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act. He is expected to be produced before a special court in Kolkata, where the ED will seek his custody for further questioning. The arrest is related to alleged irregularities in recruitment at the Dakshin Dum Dum municipality, where Bose earlier served as vice chairman.
