ED raids and asset attachments hit record high in FY26

The Enforcement Directorate recorded a decline in arrests during FY26, while raids, chargesheets and asset attachments reached record levels. The agency restored over Rs 32,000 crore to fraud victims and increased international cooperation in money laundering investigations. Searches or raids conducted by the ED almost doubled to 2,892 during the fiscal year, and the value of attached assets recorded an all-time high of over Rs 81,000 crore.
