Elephant strays into Doddabetta Peak; tourist attraction closed

A male elephant made its way to Doddabetta Peak in Udhagamandalam of The Nilgiris, resulting in the closure of the popular tourist spot. The animal had made its way up the Coonoor slopes and up to Doddabetta on the previous day. The tourist spot was closed for one day due to concerns for the safety of visitors.
