Farmer charred to death while burning maize stubble in Nirmal

A farmer died after being engulfed in flames while attempting to control a fire that spread from burning maize stubble to his standing paddy crop in Kanakapur village of Nirmal district. The incident occurred when the farmer, who had set fire to the maize stubble, tried to douse the flames that engulfed his standing paddy crop. He was charred to death before his nephew could reach the farm to help.
