FCC rejects SpaceX request, tells Musk's company: We dismiss Gen2 Starlink modification applications

The FCC has denied SpaceX's request to use the 1.6/2.4GHz spectrum currently utilized by Globalstar for its satellite services, including those on Apple iPhones. This decision aims to maintain regulatory certainty and stability, citing significant interference risks and Globalstar's established investments in emergency and IoT services. SpaceX's applications for these bands, as well as Ligado Networks' 1.5/1.6GHz bands, were dismissed.
