Fertiliser boss says war puts 10 billion meals a week at risk

War in Iran is jeopardising global food production due to blocked shipping through the Strait of Hormuz, which is reducing fertiliser supplies. This could lead to reduced crop yields, a bidding war for food, and increased prices, affecting the poorest countries the most. The lack of fertilisers is estimated to result in up to 10 billion meals not being produced every week.
