First exit poll out: Political earthquake in Bengal, DMK firm in Tamil Nadu

Exit poll projections indicate a historic change of guard in West Bengal and Kerala, with the BJP projected to win 146-161 seats in the 294-member assembly, and the Trinamool Congress projected to win 125-140 seats. In Tamil Nadu, the DMK-led alliance is projected to win 122-132 of 234 seats, comfortably above the majority mark. The BJP is also projected to win a third successive term in Assam.
